It is just a little bit bigger than small but the keyboard and screen is such a delight, I doubt anyone will mind. It is not design to replace a computer, however it a great handheld.Mine has Wi-Fi which allow me to get Internet at a lot of public places. I have a 728 which means it has double the memory which is nice, however you can and lots of memory with a compact flash card. I needed a PDA with a keyboard. This is one powerful handheld, one of the best made in 2003. The pocket chess game is awesome. Pocket Outlook and Word syncs with Outlook and Word 2007 on my Dell laptop.
it has very good functionality, easy to use. this is a very nice little system. it's a little out dated but what do you exspect buying old tech. alot of people complain about the key board but i think its perfect for the king of tool your buying. it's not a full size laptop, so it's got to be compact and i think hp did a really good job doing that.
With new micro computers such as the Asus EEE now becoming popular but still costing heaps, time to have another look. Don't think PDA.think small computer. Because that's what this really is. Can do everything on this unit, including play movies with freeware software, plus do all of your office tasks and internet browsing. New memory card sizes make it a lot more valuable than when it first came out.add a 2GB card, and store lots of movies, documents, presentations and MP3 files.
It is not a great item if u just fancy a touch screen without much functionality and outdated techology
Containing Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, it is everything you can ask for in on-the-go computing. This is a marvelous device, great for a writer. I can work on my stories on the fly and synchronize to my laptop for editing. The charge lasts about 9 hours at a time; I plug it in every other night to keep it topped off, and carry it in my pocket on the subway. Lay in an extra battery if you can (before HP stops making the product - they are up to Jornada 900)
